Free Market Government Financing
No one wants more taxes but government refuses to cut spending, so why not come up with additional funding methods and alternatives to big government providing social services?
Sell ad space on different state owned buildings and vehicles. It is a perfectly legal and constitutional way to raise revenue, and will be a mutually beneficial voluntary agreement between government and the business that buys the ads.
Expand the use of user fees. User fees differ from taxes in that user fees are voluntary and the amount paid is directly tied to what is being used. The user-fee approach is evident in today’s economy with respect to toll roads, parks and other recreational facilities, waterways and harbors, and so on.
Turn social programs, such as WIC, over to non-profits and churches. If they refuse to help out at the local level, government could pull their tax-exempt status.
